Part I, "THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE PREDICTION" *** is an application of random vibration theory in earthquake engineering, from which a general analytical method is developed for the response of multi-story buildings with a linear stable system subjected to earthquake excitation.
This paper, illustrates the validity of the analytical method established in the previous paper. Several examples of the response analysis for various types of building due to various patterns of earthquake excitation are presented.
The results of the numerical calculation by random vibration theory are compared with the corresponding values obtained by a deterministic response analysis.
