The paper presents the results of an investigation for the fire resistance of steel beam. The fire resistance of steel beam is analysed by the results obtained from the standard fire tests of full size specimens subjected to different load.

The results of the tests have provided valuable data for the estimation of fire resistance of steel construction, and recommendations are given to the specification of fire resistance of steel construction.
