It has been reported that there was some discrepancy between the values of the flame height, obtained from Thomas' equation for the flame height and Yokoi's equation which is derived from the temperature distribution along the central axis of the upward current. The author studied this discrepancy and has now arrived at some conclusions, which are reported here.
